| About us
At Dignity Care homes we fully recognise the
right of residents to maintain their dignity and to be involved
in decisions that affect their daily life. We encourage
independence and freedom of choice and give consideration to each
person’s
needs and wishes whilst respecting the rights of all residents.
We strive to maintain the quality of life for each person in our
care by arranging activities and entertainment and encouraging
everyone to continue their interest in any hobbies they may have.
Each Home is fully equipped with fully certified fire and nurse
call systems and security locks to all exits, whilst passenger
lifts convey residents safely to the first floor. The homes are
managed independently of each other by qualified care managers
who ensure the day to day supervision of each location.
It
is the policy of the home to provide each of our residents with
the person centred care that they require. We work with social
workers and families to develop individual care-plans, which are
reviewed and revised on a regular basis.
Residents are encouraged to be as independent as possible and
will be assisted when required, whilst dignity is maintained. Staff
assist with daily tasks, such as washing, dressing, eating and
bathing.
Each home has facilities for ordering, storing and dispensing
medication although residents may choose to self administer their
prescribed medication.
We also actively encourage our staff to achieve national vocational
qualifications at all levels. We also have an ongoing development
plan for statutory training in basic procedures.
The directors and group manager visit the homes
on a regular basis to ensure that the quality of care delivery
at each home is maintained. |
